Turn off the machine.
The fault moves to the
new position.
The fault repeats at the
original position.

Step 3: Use Toro DIAG to program the replacement cutting reel motor.
1.
Remove the access panel from the outer cover of the control arm.
2.
Connect a PC with Toro DIAG software to the machine via a Toro DIAG Cable (Part No. 115-1944). Refer
to
Toro DIAG–Quick Start (page

Use the Toro DIAG software to reprogram the machine in accordance with Toro DIAG User's Guide. The
replacement cutting reel motor is programmed during the reprogramming of the machine.
4.
Disconnect the Toro DIAG cable from the machine.

Install the access panel onto the outer cover of the control arm.

Inspect the wiring for cutting reel motor position 2.

Unplug the 48 V battery disconnect to prevent unexpected cutting unit operation. Refer to
Disconnecting the 48 V Power to the Cutting Reel Motors (page

Follow the cutting reel motor cable from cutting reel motor 1 to the connectors mounted on the traction unit.
Note:
The 2 cutting reel motor cable connectors are secured with clips to the connector plate. The 2
e-reel harness connectors are not secured to the connector plate.
4.
Disconnect the e-reel harness connectors P19 and P20 from the 2 cutting reel motor cable connectors.
5.
Inspect the 2 cutting reel motor cable connectors and the 2 e-reel harness connectors for the following:
damage
corrosion
debris
proper alignment and seating of the pins inside the connectors
6.
Inspect the 2 cutting reel motor cable connectors for proper wire color per pin, as shown in the following 2
tables.
If the fault follows the cutting reel motor to the new cutting unit, replace the cutting
reel motor. Go to Step 3.
If the fault repeats at the cutting unit 2 position, go to Step 4.
If the fault no longer repeats, note the position change of the cutting reel motor in
the maintenance records for the machine. Should the fault repeat in the future,
troubleshooting may be resumed where you left off. Go to
to Service (page 21)
