To enable root guard, use the spanning-tree guard command. To disable root guard, use the no form of
this command.

Enables the loop guard mode on the interface.
Enables root guard mode on the interface.

Modification
Support for this command was introduced on the Catalyst 4500 series switch.
Loop guard support was added.
