10.8 Connecting the Ground Cables for the Smart Module

The grounding system of the smart module must be a TN-S or TN-C-S system. The ground
resistor between the equipment ground cable and data center ground bar must be less than 0.1
ohm.

10.8.1 Grounding Cabinets

M-shaped Grounding (Recommended)
Cabinets are grounded by cables connected from the main ground bars shown by (2) in Figure
10-19 to the nearby ground grid.

Normally no modem driver is required. If the modem requires a driver, install the driver according to the
modem document.
