Entry format is either start.airway.end

Where:
Start = entry waypoint onto airway
Airway = airway name
End = exit waypoint of airway
When format airway.end is used, the

entry waypoint onto airway must be in
active flight plan and airway must be
inserted into active flight plan following
the waypoint
Airway is always followed by a decimal

point
Entering an airway into the active flight

plan when the entry and exit waypoint
are adjacent waypoints in the flight
plan is permitted. Enter the airway into
the scratchpad (followed by a decimal
point) and place the airway after the
entry waypoint in the active flight plan.
The name is from one to five
