Flight Management System (FMS) for the Agusta AW139/AB139 Helicopter
— MOT waypoint
— DISCONTINUITY before the suspend waypoint
— Suspend waypoint.
6L -- The CANCEL prompt selection results in the following:
D
— The MOT flight plan is canceled and all MOT waypoints are
removed from the flight plan.
— SUSPEND is displayed at 1L and the helicopter continues to fly
in heading or other basic mode. The FMS does not provide valid
steering commands when suspend is active. Suspend is
resumed or canceled in the normal fashion.
— When the MOT flight plan is created while flying a search pattern
(SAR), the FMS places a SUSxx waypoint on the lateral
projection from aircraft present position to the leg between the
previously active FROM and TO waypoints. When the
SUSPEND mode is restored, guidance back to the SUSxx
waypoint is performed to resume the search pattern.
— When the MOT flight plan is created during normal flight plan
operations (for example, no PATTERN flown), a direct--to the
previously active TO waypoint is performed.
— When the MOT flight plan is created during a hold or orbit, the
hold or orbit is removed from the flight plan.
1R -- The FMS speed mode and the speed command value are
D
displayed at 1R. When the MOT flight plan is active prior to the FHAF
waypoint, The MOT SPD and the current FMS speed command
(CAS) is displayed at 1R.
When the MOT flight plan is active between the FHAF and MOTxx
waypoints, the FMS speed mode and speed command is not
displayed. The CAS speed command is updated periodically, as the
MOT maneuver is flown, to maintain GS and CAS speed within
limits.
When MOT is canceled, the FMS speed command mode transitions
to climb while the altitude preselector is above the aircraft altitude.
Otherwise, the speed command transitions to descent.
No pilot entry is permitted at 1R.
2R - - 5R -- The predicted speeds and altitudes or constraint speeds
D
and altitudes associated with the corresponding flight plan
waypoints on the left of the MCDU are displayed on 2R through 5R.
