Flight Management System (FMS) for the Agusta AW139/AB139 Helicopter
CONVERSION
The CONVERSION pages permit the pilot to convert between
commonly used units. The first two pages give conversion between
English and metric units. The third page gives weight/volume
conversions. The last page supports QFE/QNH (field elevation
pressure/sea level pressure) conversions.
The CONVERSION1/4 page, shown in Figure 6--75, gives conversion
between English and metric units for length, weight and volume.
1L -- The equivalent meters at 1R is displayed when entry of feet is

made at 1L.
1R -- The equivalent flight level (FL) in feet at 1L is displayed when
D
entry of meters is made at 1R, as shown in Figure 6--76. Note that
in some locations of the world, the metric altitude assigned by air
traffic control (ATC) does not round to the nearest FL. The FMS is
designed to accommodate these conditions.
NOTE:
The pilot must verify the FL displayed by the FMS agrees with
the metric altitude conversions displayed on en route
navigation charts.
