3.2.9 Product configuration Export and Import

Service tool supports product configuration export and import. On
Export, product configuration is saved into a file (JSON). On Import of
the product configuration from a file (JSON), Service tool creates the
products in the CIU configuration database in accordance with the
content specified in the product configuration file.
For sites with multiple CIU 888s, the product settings across all the CIU
configuration databases should be same. When CIU configuration
database is loaded to ENTIS configuration tool, it compares the product
settings across CIU configuration databases and flag an error in case of
a mismatch. For sites with multiple CIUs, the recommendation is to
create all products in one CIU configuration database, export the
product configuration from it and import the same into other CIU
configuration databases.
3.2.9.1 Export of product configuration
1. On the Products node, right-click and click Export Products from the
drop down.
