3.2.6 Configuring a Field port

3.2.6.1 Serial Field Ports
1. On the CIU 888 node, right-click and choose Add > Field port/Host
port.
2. The Add Site Element window appears.
3. In the Name box, type the name of the Field port and click OK.
A field port node is created and displayed under CIU 888.
4. By default, the Field port tab appears.

Description
Security Mode and Security Policies are used
in combination to secure endpoints. The
security policy describes various algorithms
and different key length, which is used to
establish secure channel between client and
server application. Security mode of the
application defines the security level for a
message being exchanged during communi-
cation between client and server.
Available Modes:
None: non secure communication
Sign: secure communication without encryp-
tion
Sign and Encrypt: secure communication
with encryption
Available Policies:
Basic256Sha256
Aes128Sha256
Aes256Sha256
