Upgrading the SSI Boot Image

To upgrade or downgrade the SSI boot image Fibre Channel switching and Intelligent Storage Services,
perform the following steps:
Verify that the correct SSI boot image is present on your switch (see the

Verifying the SSI Boot Image

To verify that you have the correct Cisco MDS NX-OS release and SSI boot image file on your switch,
perform the following steps:
Log into the switch through the console port, an SSH session, or a Telnet session.
Step 1
Enter the show version command to ensure that your switch is running Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release
Step 2
2.1(1a) or later system and kickstart images.
