Rear Master Cylinder - Honda CRF450R 2009 Service Manual

HYDRAULIC BRAKE
INSTALLATION
Place the master cylinder assembly on the handlebar.

Align the end of the master cylinder with the paint mark
on Ihe handlebar.
Install the master cylinder holder with the · UP· mark
facing up.
Tighten Ihe upper bol! first, then the lower bon to the ,
.;.~ C:.:::-
specified torque. •
TORQUE: 9.9 N'm (1.0 kgf-m , 7.3Ibf-ft)
Install the brake hose eyelet with Ihe brake hose oil bolt

and new sealing washers,

Push the brake hose eyelet joint against the stopper,
then lighten the brake hose oil bolt to the specified
torque.
TORQUE : 34 N-m (3.5 kgf-m, 25 Ibl-ft)
Fill the reservoir to the upper level and bleed the front
brake system (page 16-8).
After " 4: Inslalithe engine mode select switch/indicator
(page 6-76).

REMOVAL
Drain the rear brake hydraulic system (page 16-7).
Remove the brake pedal (page 16-29).
