MAINTENANCE
Apply molybdenum oil solution to the valve lifter outer
surface.
Install the valve
Install the valve lifters.
Mers in their
angina/locations.
Install the camshaft (page 9-32).
Rotate the camshaft by rotating the crankshaft
clockw1se several times.
Recheck the valve clearance.
Apply engine oil to a new O-ring, and install It to the

crankshaft hole cap.
Apply grease to the crankshaft hole cap threads.
Install and tighten the crankshaft hole cap to the
specified torque.
TORQUE: 15 N' m (1 .5 kgf'm , 111bHt)
Install the cytinder head cover (page 9.-8).
ENGINE OIL/OIL FILTER

OIL LEVEL INSPECTION
Start the engine and let it idle for 3 minutes.
Stop the engine and walt
3
minutes.
Support the motorcycle upright on a level surface.
Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and wipe the oil with a
clean cloth.
Insert the all filler cap/dipstick without screwing it in,
remove it and check the oil level.
If the oil level is below or near the lower level line on the
oil filler capfdipslick, and add the recommended engine
oil to the upper level line through the oil filler hole.
RECOMMENDED ENGINE OIL:
Pro Honda GN4 4-stroke 011 (U.S.A . & Canada) or
equivalent motor oil
API service classification: SG or higher
JASD T903 standard : MA
Viscosity : SAE 10W·30
Check that the O-ring is in good condition, replace
it if
necessary.
Reinstall Ihe oil filler cap/dipstick.
NOTE .
Other viscosities of oil may be used depending upon the
average temperature in your riding area. Use the chart
as a guide.
