5. Fuel Injector Signal Line Short Circuit Inspection
Connect the ECM 33P (Black) connector. , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ,
Check for continuity between the fuel injector 2P 2P (GRAY) CONNECTOR
(Gray) connector at the wire side and ground. (Wire side/female terminals)
Connection : Slack/blue - Ground
Is there continuity?
YES - Short circuit in Blacklblue wire
NO - Replace the ECM with a known good one,
and recheck.
DTC 19-1 (No.1 CKP SENSOR)
Before starting the inspection. check for loose or poor
contact on the alternator/CKP sensor 6P (Natural)
connector and ECM 33P connector, then recheck the
OTC.

1. CKP Sensor System Inspection
Erase the DTC's (page 6-23).
Connect the 12 V battery rECM" selector switch is
ON I.

- After '09: page 6-19
Crank the engine and check the CKP sensor with
the MCS.
Is
orc
19-1 indicated?
YES - GO TO STEP 2.
NO - Intermittent failure
2. CKP Sensor Peak Voltage Inspection
Turn the "ECM" selector switch OFF.

Disconnect the alternatorfCKP sensor 6P NO.1 CKP SENSOR:
connector.
Crank the engine and measure the CKP sensor
peak voltage at the altemator/CKP sensor 6P
connector.

Is the voltage more than 0.7 V (20"Cl6S"FJ?
YES - GO TO STEP 3.
NO - Faulty CKP sensor
