Throttle grip freeplay can be adjusted at either end of
the throttle cable.
Minor adjustment
is
made
with
the upper adjuster.
Remove the dust cover from the throttle housing.
Adjust the freeplay by loosening the adjuster lock nut,
and turning the adjuster.
After adjustment. lighten the adjuster lock nut to the
specified torque while holding the adjuster.
TORQUE : 4.0 N'm (0.4 kgf-m , 3.0 IbHt)
Reinstalilhe dust cover to the throttle housing .
Recheck the throttle operation
If the adjuster cannot reach the correct freeplay, turn
the adjuster an the way in and then turn It out one turn.
Make the major adJustment with the throttle body side of
the adjuster.
Major adjustment is made with the lower adjuster.
Hang the fuel tank to the left side of the frame
(page 4-6).
Adjust the free play by loosening the adjuster lock nut,
and turning the adjuster.
After adjustment. tighten the adjuster lock nut to the
specified torque while holding the adjuster.
TORQUE: 4.0 N'm (0.4 kgf 'm , 3.0 IbNt)
Recheck the throttle operation .
Inslalilhe fuel tank (page 4-6).
AIR CLEANER
Remove the seal (page 3-3).
Remove the retaining boll and air cleaner assembly.

holder.
