Change the engine
oil
with
the englna
warm and
the
motorcyc/& on level
ground
to
assure
complete
draining
ENGINE OIL & FILTER CHANGE
Engine oil should be changed at least every 6 races
or 15 hours of operation to ensure consistent
performance.
Support the motorcycle upright on a level surface.
Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick from the left crankcase
cover.
Place an 011 pan under the engine to catch the engine
oil, then remove the engine oil drain bolt and sealing
washer.
Drain the engine oil.
Operate the kicl<.starter pedal five limes or more
while opening the throttle fully, so the engine oil

completely drains.
Oil
fitter cflange:
Remove the engine guard (page 3-6).
Remove the following:
- Bolts
- Oil filter cover
- O-ring
- Oil filter
- Spring
SPRING
MAINTENANCE
DRAIN BOLT/SEALING WASHER
D-RING
OIL FILTER BOLTS
Apply grease to the oil filler spring of the oil filter con tact

area.

Inslall the oil filter spring into a new oil filter.
Inslall the oil filter with the "OUT-SIDE" mark facing oui.
NOTE
Installing the oil filter backwards
Will
result in severe
engine damage.
