FRONT WHEEUSUSPENSION/STEERING
INSPECTION
FORK CAP
FORK AIR VALVE
Remove the air valve
assembly.
and O-ring from the fork cap
• If the air valve is removed , replace the air valve and
O-ring as a sel.
COMPRESSION{REBOUNO DAMPING ADJUSTER
Check the fork cap assembly for damage.
Check the fork cap oil passage for clogs and clean it
if
necessary.
Check the adjuster for clicks.
Replace the fork cap as an assembly

necessary.
Apply fo rk oil to a new O-ring and install it into a new air
valve groove .
Inslall the air valve to the fork cap and tighten it to the
specified torque .
TORQUE: 5.5 N' m (0.6 kgf' m, 4.1 Ibf·ft)
FORK SLIDER/OUTER TUBE
Check the outer lube and fork slider for score marks,
scratches and excessive or abnormal wear.
Check the ouler lube for damage or bends.
Replace the outer tube if necessary.
