2. TP Sensor Inspection 1
Check that the TP sensor voltage increases
continuously when moving Ihe throtlle from fully
closed to fully opened using the data list menu of Ihe
MeS.
Does the voltage increase continuously?
YES - Intermittent failure
NO - Faulty TP sensor
3. TP Sensor Input Voltage Inspection
Turn Ihe "ECM" selector switch ON .
Measure the vol tage at the wire side.
Connection : Red /yellow (+) - Green/red (-)
Is the voltage within 4.75 - 5.25 V?
YES - GO TO STEP 4.
NO Open circuit in Green/red wire
• Open circuil in Red/yellow wire
4. TP Sensor Resistance Inspection 2
Replace the throttle body with a known good one
(page 6-64 ).
Erase the oTG's (page 6-23).
Turn the "ECM" selector switch ON .
Check Ihe TP sensor with the
MeS .
Is DTe 8·2 indicated?
YES - Replace the ECM with a known good one,
and recheck.
NO - Faulty original throttle body (TP sensor)
OTe 9-1 (IAT SENSOR LOW VOLTAGE)
1. IAT Sensor System Inspection
Connect the 12 V battery ("ECM" selector switch is
ON)
- '09: page 6·19
- After '09: page 6·19
Check the IAT sensor wi th the MCS,
Is about 0 V indicated?
YES - GO TO STEP 2.
NO - Intermittent failure

IAT Sensor Inspection
Turn the "ECM" selector switch OFF .
Disconnect the tAT sensor 2P ('09 - '12: Gray/After
' 12:
Black) connector.
Turn the "ECM" selector switch ON.
Check the tAT sensor with the MCS.
Is about 0 V indicated?
YES - GO TO STEP
3.
NO - Faulty lAT sensor
