2. Align the quick connect fitting with the fuel Joint while
inserting the rubber cover between the connector
and fuel pump plale.
Then press the quick connect fitting onto the pipe
until both retainer locking pawls lock with a RCLlCK".
If it
is hard to connect, pul a small amount of engine
oil on the
pipe
end.
3. Make sure the connection is secure and that the
pawls are firmly locked into place; check visually and
by pulling the connector.
4. Make sure the rubber cover is in place (between the
quick connect fitting and fuel pump plale).
5. Install the quick connect fitting cover securely.
Sel the rubber cover tab into the quick connect fitting
cover groove.
6. Increase the fuel pressure and check that there is no
leakage in fuel supply system (page 4-6).
FUEL INJECTOR SIDE
1. Insert a new retainer by aligning its locking pawls
with the connector grooves.
