FRONT WHEEUSUSPENSION/STEERING
Tighten the fork cap lock nul fully, and measure the
length between the lock nut end and piston rod end as
shown.
STANDARD : 19 - 20
mm
(0.7 - 0.8 1 n)

LOCK NUT
Pull the piston rod up slowly and tighten the fork cap

until
it
is fully seated.

Measure the length of the fork cap and lock nut
clearance.
STANDARD: 1.0 - 2.0
mm
(0.04 - 0.08
in)
If the clearance is out of specification, check the fork
cap and lock nut installation.
Apply fork oil to a new 0·rin9 and install
it
to the fork
cap groove.
Tighten the lock nul to the fork cap closely by hanc!.
Hold the fork cap and tighten the lock nullo the
specified torque.
TORQUE : 29 N-m (3.0 kgf-m , 21 IbHt)
Pull the outer tube up slowly and install it to the fork
cap.
Temporarily install the fork leg through the bottom and
lop bridges, and tighten the bottom bridge pinch bolts to
the specified torque.
TORQUE : 20 N' m (2.0 kgf'm , 15Ibf·ft)
