REMOVAUINSTALLATION (After
'12)
Remove the left
side
cover (page
3-4).
Disconnect the IAT sensor 2P (Black)
connector.
Remove the
screws, tAT sensor and O-ring.
Apply
engine
oil to a new O-ring
and
install it to
the IAT
sensor.
Install
the lAT sensor and screws.
Tighten the
screws to
the
specified torque
.
TORQUE
:
1.5 N'm
(0.2 kgf'm, 1.1
IbHt)
Connect the
IAT
sensor 2P
(Black)
connector.
Install the
left
side cover (page 3-4).

Drain
the
coolant from the system
(page
7-8).
Remove the EeT sensor (page
6-72).
Heat
the coolant
(1:
1
mixture) with an electric heating
element.
Suspend the
Eel
sensor in heated
coolant
and
measure the resistance through
the
sensor as the
coolant heats
up.
Soak
the
EeT sensor in coolant
up
to its
threads
with
at
least
40
mm (1 .6 in)
from the
bottom of the
pan to the bottom
of
the sensor.
Keep
temperature constant
for
3 minutes before
testing.
A sudden change of temperature will result
in
incorrect
readings.

thermometer
or
Eer
sensor touch the
pan.
Replace the
EeT
sensor if it is out of
specifications.

Eel
sensor 2P
(Black.)
connector.
Remove the
Eel
sensor and Q·ring.
