If the handlebar moves unevenly, binds, or has vertical
movement, inspect the steering head bearings (page
14.75),
Check for worn steering head bearing by grabbing the
fork legs and attempting to move the front fork forward
to backward.
Replace the bearing if any looseness is noted.
