MCS INFORMATION
• The MCS can read the DTG, freeze data , current data and
other ECM conditIOns .
How to connect th e MeS
'09: Remove the following:
- Seal (page 3-3)
- Left radiator shroud (page 3-4)
SlOp the engine.
'09: Disconnect the
Ole
and connect the 12 V battery to the fuel pump sub
harness ("ECM" selector switch IS ON) (page 6-19).
After '09: Disconnect the DLClfuet pump sub harness 4P (Red) connector
and connect the 12 V battery

ECM RESET
The
MeS
can reset the ECM data including the DIG , stored data, and
some learning memory
NOTE:
After ' 14: Before starting the EGM reset, check and record the selection
mode. After the EGM reset, select the previous mode ,
- Stored using the HRC data setting tool (optional parts), the setting of
the mode

and mode
3
are erased ,
DTC READOUT ('09)
Start the engine and check the MIl.
NOTE :
When starting the engine , the MIL wit! stay on for 2 seconds, then go off .
• If the engine can not be started, connect Ihe 12 V battery 10 the fuel
pump sub harness
(~ECM~
selector switch is ON) (page 6· 19).
If the MIL stays on or blinks, connect the MCS to the OLC (page 6·21), read
the DIG, freeze data and follow the troubleshooting Index (page 6-24).
To read the OTC with the MIL blinking , refer to - Reading OIC With Ihe MIL"
(page 6-22).
