FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)

Turn the ·PUMp· selector switch OFF and disconnect
the fuel pump 5P (Black) connector.
Turn the "PUMp· selector SWitch ON and measure the
voltage between the terminals.
Connection: Black
(+) -
Green (-)
There should be battery voltage.
If there is battery voltage,
remove
the fuel pump and
check the fuel pump wires for loose connection or
damage.

If the wires are normal. replace the fuel pump unit (page
6-52).
If there is no battery voltage, open circui t in Black or
Green wire between the regulator/rectifier connector
and fuel pump sub harness connector.
REMOVAL
Remove the fuel tank (page 6-59).
Remove the following:
- After ' 14: Fuel pump 5P (Black) connector
Six fuel pump mounting bolts
Stopper cable guide
Stopper cable
Four washers
Six collars
Six conical spring washers
Fuel pump plate
Remove the fuel pump unit and a-rings.
