Predefined phases
The following table describes the predefined phases.

Description
The first, and mandatory, phase in any method. Defines common
parameters used in the subsequent phases.
The Method Settings phase defines:
1 Column type
Note:
The Column type list can be filtered in two steps:
•
Select the chromatography technique to be used in the list
Show by technique
•
Select Show only suggested columns to show the columns
that are suggested for the selected chromatography tech-
nique.
2 Pressure limit
3 Flow rate
4 Option to control the flow to avoid overpressure
Note:
Default values for pressure limits and flow rate are given for the
selected column type.
