3. Turn the ignition key to the O
Pass The reading is approximately 0 Vdc. Go to Step 6.
Fail
The reading is more than 0 Vdc. Replace the contactor. Go to
(page 22) and follow the steps listed.
Step 6: Inspect main harness connector P37
1. Main harness connector P37 is attached to the motor/generator. Remove the connector from the
motor/generator and inspect it for:
•
Damage and corrosion
•
Recessed pins
•
Wiring integrity
•
Proper engagement of the harness connector P37 to the connector on the motor/generator.
2. Repair or replace any worn or damaged parts. Go to
follow the steps listed.
Component Location and Electrical Connections
The motor/generator is attached to the front of the engine, facing the operator's seat. The main contactor is
located under the operator's seat.
