5. Remove the TEC-5002 from the machine.
6. Align the holes in the replacement TEC-5002 controller with the holes inside the control arm.
7. Secure the TEC-5002 controller to the control arm with the 4 fasteners that you removed in substep 4.
8. Plug connector P75 into the TEC-5002 and secure the connector with the screw that you loosened in
substep 3. When connecting the harness plug to the TEC controller, torque the retaining screw to 25–28
in-lbs.
9. Align the outer cover to the control arm and secure the cover with the 6 fasteners that you removed in
substep 1.
Use Toro DIAG to Program the TEC-5002.
1. Connect a PC with Toro DIAG software to the machine via a Toro DIAG Cable (Part No. 115-1944). Refer
to Toro DIAG - Quick Start (page
2. Use the Toro DIAG software to reprogram the machine in accordance with Toro DIAG User's Guide. The
replacement TEC-5002 is programmed during the reprogramming of the machine.
3. Use the Toro DIAG software to restore the timers and counters file from the original TEC-5002 controller
into the replacement TEC-5002, in accordance with the Controller Reformatting section of the Toro
DIAG User's Guide.
4. Disconnect the Toro DIAG cable from the machine.
5. Install the access panel onto the outer cover of the control arm.
