Control Unit Input Test (cont'd)
4. With the connectors still disconnected, make these input tests at the connectors.
• If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
• If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 5.
NOTE: Before testing, make sure the No. 15 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box is OK.

Wire Test condition
YEL Connect F11
terminal to D2 (or
ORN D9) terminal, and
D9 (or D2) terminal
to body ground.
ORN Connect F11
terminal to D16
terminal
momentarily
GRN/YEL Under all
conditions
YEL Connect F11
ORN terminal to N1 (or
N2) terminal, and
N2 (or N1) terminal
to body ground.
Test: Desired result
Check actuator operation:
The left rear door lock
actuator should UNLOCK (or
LOCK).
Check actuator operation:
The trunk lid release actuator
should work.
Attach to ground:
The horns should sound.
Check actuator operation:
The driver's door lock
actuator should UNLOCK (or
LOCK).
Possible cause if desired
result is not obtained
• Faulty left rear door lock
actuator
• An open in the wire
• Poor ground (G602)
• Faulty trunk lid release
actuator
• An open in the wire
• Blown No. 10 (20 A) fuse in
the under-hood fuse/relay
box
• Faulty horn relay
• Faulty horn
• An open in the wire
• Faulty driver's door lock
actuator
• An open in the wire
