DTC Troubleshooting
DTC B1152:
Gauge Control Module
(EEPROM) Error
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be
sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System
Diagnosis Test Mode A (see page 22-120).
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back
to ON (II).
3. Wait for 6 seconds or more.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DT C B1152 indicated?
YES
Replace the gauge control module (see page
22-332).
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this
time.

DTC B1175:
Fuel Level Sensor (Fuel Gauge
Sending Unit) Circuit Open
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be
sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System
Diagnosis Test Mode A (see page 22-120).
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back
to ON (II).
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DT C B117 5 indicated?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Intermittent failure, the fuel level sensor
circuit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor
connections.
4. Test the fuel gauge sending unit (see page 11-381).
Is the f uel gauge sending unit OK ?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Replace the fuel tank unit.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
6. Measure the voltage between the No. 27 and
No. 28 terminals of the gauge control module 32P
connector and the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals of the
fuel tank unit 4P connector.
Is there less than 0.5 V ?
YES
Replace the gauge control module.
NO
Repair the loose connection or open in the
PUR or ORN wire between the gauge control
module and fuel tank unit.
