Pinging a Host

To ping a host, type:
• For Hosts with IPv4 Addresses
ping address iface interface count attempts wait seconds
• For Hosts with IPv6 Addresses
ping6 address iface interface count attempts wait seconds
Where:
• address is the IP address of the host
• attempts is the number of ping attempts
• interface is the interface to use
• seconds is the maximum number of seconds to for a response from the host
