4.13 Command line call

Packaged deployed by Expert

Create MyConfig Expert can be started in command line mode for the package deployment.
The command line call is envisaged for the automated deployment of packages.
Command line parameters (switches) must be specified, some of which are optional, for
deployment in command line mode.
The command line parameters can also be used to specify a package configuration file that
replaces the configurations in the package.
If a package configuration file is specified, then these settings are applied to the package -
and this is followed by deployment with all of the specified command line parameters.
Call
The command subsequently shown as well as all associated switches and arguments must
be written in one line to a batch file or a command line interface.
Deployment with verification run in the silent mode
Expert.exe
[/log <Path log file>] <Path project file>
The switches in square brackets are optional.
Example:
Expert.exe /silent /deploy /config ./update.upcfg /log "D:\Log\L1
V1.xml" D:\Projects\MyProject.upz
Notes
Note the following information for the command line call:

Specification of the complete path for "Expert.exe"
As of version 4.8, the complete path for "Expert.exe" must be specified or added to the "Path"
environment variable.
Example:
"C:\Program Files\Siemens\Create MyConfig 4.8\Expert.exe"
Note
Observe the sequence of the switches
The switches should be written to in the specified sequence.
When doing this, observe the "Call" section and the "Significance of the switches" table.
