Components - manipulate action
All cross-area data can be read and written in the "All" target area of theManipulate action.
You can find additional information in the Data accesses (Page 333) section.
Additional information on the possibilities associated with manipulation tasks is provided in the
description of the script language (Page 279).
A "Task" must be created via the context menu in order to be able to enter manipulation
instructions. The instructions can be sub-divided into several tasks in order to improve the
structure. The task names can be freely selected.
Tasks can be created in the following ways:
● New task
– Enter the instructions directly in the Script Editor. You can choose any name for the task.
● Import task
– Import the instructions that are saved in an external file. The task name is allocated the
● Link task
– An external file that contains instructions is linked as a task.

name of the imported file. After importing, the task name and the instructions in the
Script Editor can be edited without changing the original file.
The task name is assigned the name of the linked file and can be subsequently changed.
The linked file can be either edited externally or in the Script Editor, whereby the
supporting context menu is available in the Script Editor.
On deployment, the task is accepted in the package.
