Script libraries
In order to be able to easily address frequently recurring script code, the project engineer can
define dedicated procedures and functions in "*.uplib" script libraries.
This significantly reduces the number of lines required in the individual scripts. The resulting
scripts are clearer and easier to read.
4.6.18.1
Creating new script libraries
You can create a new script library in Expert at "Project folder" > "Package" tab > "Script
libraries".
You can call the "List of user script libraries" dialog via the "List" property by clicking the
button.
Figure 4-118
If you want to add script libraries to a project, you can create new script libraries or insert or
link already existing libraries.
The font color of the list entry indicates whether a script library has been inserted or linked:
● Black - the script library has been inserted in the project.
● Blue - the script library has been linked to the project.
During the installation of Create MyConfig, standard libraries are stored in the "UpLib" folder
below the CMC installation path. The standard libraries extend the scope of functions of Expert
and contain additional functionality, e.g. SINAMICS TEC activation. When creating a new
project, all script libraries from the "UpLib" folder are automatically linked once.
If the standard libraries are not required, the project engineer can subsequently remove the
links from the list.
