Displaying waypoint coordinates

Editing waypoints

951/952 Operator's Manual Rev. B
On the LOCAL screen, up to 30 of the closest waypoints within
100 nm are listed in order of distance from your present posi-
tion. This list is particularly useful when you want to deal with
only the waypoints in your area. Even though you may have
hundreds of waypoints stored, the local waypoints are very
often the only ones you may be interested in at the moment.
On the ALPHA screen, all the waypoints stored in the unit's
memory are displayed in alphabetical order. Waypoints with a
digit as the first character appear near the beginning of the list.
"Saved" waypoints appear near the end.
On the AVOID screen, waypoints are displayed in order of dis-
tance from your present position. The 30 closest are displayed.
Whenever a waypoint list is displayed, you can display the
waypoint's coordinates in any of the following ways, by press-
ing the &225' 237,21 menu key:
latitude/longitude coordinates
the coordinates originally used to save the waypoint (TDs
or lat/lon)
distance and bearing from your position (this is often the
most useful way, since it may be easier to visualize "3
miles north" than the digits of lat/lon coordinates)
The letter "S" to the right of the waypoint name indicates that
the displayed coordinates were the ones used to store the way-
point (TDs or lat/lon).
To change any information about a waypoint you've already
stored (except the type of coordinates used to save it), or to
erase it altogether, you can use the unit's edit waypoint func-
tion.
