Time of day can be displayed in either a 12- or 24-hour format.
The option you select here affects all of the unit's time-related
displays, including high and low tides, sunrise/sunset, and
ETA.
To change this option, press the (',7 menu key, then use the
&85625 3$' to view the two choices. Press the (17(5 key
to make your selection, or &/($5 to leave the option
unchanged.
You can adjust the precision of the unit's latitude and longi-
tude position displays to either degrees, minutes, and seconds
(two digit places, or .XX), or to degrees, minutes, and thou-
sandths of minutes (three digit places, or .XXX).
To change this option, press the (',7 menu key, then use the
&85625 3$' to view the two choices. Press the (17(5 key
to make your selection, or &/($5 to leave the option
unchanged.
When you press the 6$9(02% key, the unit automatically
assigns a sequential waypoint number (such as –S005–) for
each point stored. When this number reaches the designated
value set using this function, the unit starts over at 1, and
overwrites the old saved waypoint previously designated as
number 1.
You can set the maximum number of saved waypoints that
the unit stores before it overwrites old saved points. For many
applications, you may want to set this maximum number to a
small value, such as five or ten, provided you promptly rename
any saved waypoints you want to retain, before they are over-
written.
The factory default setting is 100 saved waypoints.
To change this option, press the (',7 menu key. Using the
.(<3$', enter the value you want—up to a maximum of
199—and press the (17(5 key. For one- or two-digit values,
enter a zero as the leading digit(s).
The unit automatically numbers your saved waypoints up to
the value you've set, at which point it begins to overwrite pre-
