Note: The following notes apply:
•Spare MPT ODU must be enabled prior to provisioning MPT ODU protection type.
•MPT ODU 1+1 radio protection is not supported on Transceiver enabled on Core-E
Ethernet ports.
•MPT ODU 1+1 radio protection is supported on Transceivers enabled on MPTACC cards
when main (slots 3, 5, and/or 7) and spare (slots 4, 6, and/or 8 respectively) are correctly
equipped and configured. Up to two 1+1 EPS protection pairs can be configured per pair
of MPTACC cards in this configuration.
•MPT ODU 1+1 radio protection is supported on Transceivers enabled on a MPTACC radio
card when two MPTACC ports on the same MPTACC card are correctly equipped and
configured on the same MPTACC card. One 1+1 EPS protection pair can be configured
per MPTACC card.
•During provisioning and deprovisioning of 1+1 radio protection, an auto Tx mute is applied.
The radios need to remain in Tx mute until protection is fully provisioned or deprovisioned
on both sides of the radio link.
1. Select MPT-HC Dir#-Ch# or MPT-HQAM Dir#-Ch# in the resource tree area.

icon in blue in the resource list area. See
