Section 1: Introduction
This job card provides a procedure to allow capture of frames from a video monitor that does not
have both Video In and Video Out connectors.
The Hi Def Accura frame grabber board has 8 channels (CA1 to CA4). To capture monochrome
composite video, connect the video source to one of the CA channels. For most situations the video
source will come from a video monitor. If the monitor providing the video signal does not have both
video IN and video OUT connectors, you must use either a video splitter or the Hi Def Accura boaard
in "video pass-through" mode.
You should never use a BNC T connector to split the video signal into the monitor and the board
because this will create ghosting.
The following procedure explains how to set up the Hi Def Accura frame grabber board in "video
pass-through" mode.
Section 2: Procedure
1. Turn on the Centricity RA600 workstation power.
2. Remove the left-hand half of the Dell 1400 case to access the Hi Def Accura board:

Slide the rear padlock hasp toward the chassis center and press the release button on the
lower front of the bezel and remove the left side of the case.
