To limit the size of the queue on a specified Gigabit Ethernet interface, use the ips netsim qsize
command in SAN extension tuner configuration submode.
Syntax Description
qsize queue-size
ingress
gigabitethernet
slot/ port
Defaults
Disabled.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must enable the IP Network Simulator using the ips netsim enable command.
This command rate limits the size of the queue on a specified Gigabit Ethernet port. The recommended
queue size for network simulation is 50000 to 150000. If the queue becomes full, packets are dropped.
Examples
The following example shows how to limit the queue size to 75 KB.
switch# config terminal
switch(config)#
switch(config)# san-ext-tuner enable
switch(config)# exit
switch#
switch# ips netsim qsize 75 ingress gigabitethernet 2/3
