About This Chapter
This chapter provides instructions for installing the N8500 with the S2600T storage system as
the storage unit.
5.1 Unpacking and Checking Goods
An N8500 assembly contains multiple components. Each component packing box is attached
with a packing list. You need to check the number and appearance of components according to
packing lists.
5.2 Removing a Filler Panel from a Cabinet
If the planned installation locations in a cabinet are covered with filler panels, remove them
before installing devices. If the planned installation locations are not covered by filler panels,
skip this section.
5.3 Installing Adjustable Guide Rails for Clustered NAS Engine Enclosure
Before assembling a clustered NAS engine enclosure, you must install adjustable guide rails to
bear it. With the adjustable guide rails, a clustered NAS engine enclosure can be placed into
different depths of cabinets.
5.4 Installing a Clustered NAS Engine Enclosure
Installing a clustered NAS engine enclosure into a cabinet includes sliding the clustered NAS
engine enclosure into the cabinet, securing the clustered NAS engine enclosure, and checking
the installation result.
5.5 Installing Adjustable Guide Rails for an SUC
Before assembling an SUC, you must install adjustable guide rails to bear it. With the adjustable
guide rails, an SUC can be placed into different depths of cabinets.
5.6 Installing an SUC
Installing an SUC into a cabinet includes sliding the SUC into the cabinet, securing the SUC,
and checking the installation result.
5.7 Installing Adjustable Guide Rails for an SUD
Before assembling an SUD, you must install adjustable guide rails to bear it. With the adjustable
guide rails, an SUD can be placed into different depths of cabinets.
