A data storage scheme that allows data to be stored and replicated in a
hardware disk group (logical hard disk) consisting of multiple hard disks
(physical hard disks). When multiple physical disks are set up to use the
RAID technique, they are said to be in a RAID array. The hard disks in
a RAID array provides higher data reliability and input/output
performance.
When the system monitors that a member disk in the RAID groups is
about to fail, the system copies the data in the disk to a hot-spare disk.
This technology is called redundant copy.
Files are moved between storage tiers according to a specific policy.
To correct the invalid protection of the check data block in a redundancy
group stripe for the protected space in the stripe.
A collection of data statements used to perform an operation.
(1) A controller that backs up service and management data of the
primary controller in a clustered system. When the primary controller
fails, the secondary controller is upgraded to the primary controller and
takes over the management and services of the controller enclosure. (2)

Since some components or channels are not redundant, the failure of a
device or component causes the breakdown of all devices or
components.
