About This Chapter
This chapter describes how to make, fill in, and affix the cable labels.
Labels are affixed to the cables to identify the physical positions of the cables on different
devices. There are two types of cable labels: labels for the power cables and labels for the signal
cables.
The cable labels facilitates the cable connection and maintenance.
15.1 Introduction to Labels
This section describes the materials, types, and structure of the labels. It also describes the
requirements for label printing and handwriting, affixing methods, label contents and
precautions.
15.2 Usage of Labels
This section describes how to use the labels, the contents on the labels, and the precautions for
using the labels.
15.3 Filling In Labels
You can write the contents on the labels by using an oil marker.
15.4 Affixing Labels
This section describes how to affix a label for a signal cable and for a power cable.
