Symptom
The initiators in the current cluster do not belong to a same
host group is displayed on the Step 6-6: Start Deployment page during the initial
configuration of the N8500 clustered NAS engine.
Possible Causes
There are extra useless host groups, and the initiators of the N8500 are not added to the same
host group.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the ISM by using the management IP address of the N8500. Based on actual
requirements, delete extra useless host groups.
Issue 02 (2015-09-22)
NOTE
l If the host group to be deleted has hosts, delete the hosts from the host group and then delete the host
group.
l After extra useless host groups are deleted, the initiators of the N8500 are automatically added to the
remaining host group. You do not need to add initiators manually.
