a: When managing the clustered NAS storage system, log in to the storage system using the
console IP address configured for the NAS engine node.
b: When accessing the services provided by the clustered NAS storage system, log in to the
storage system using the virtual IP address configured for the NAS storage engine node.
c: The password must comply with the following rules:
l A common user password must contain at least six characters and an administrator
l The password must contain at least two types of the following characters:
l The password cannot be the same with the user name or the user name written in a reverse

l When you use the technical support administrator level (support) user of the clustered NAS engine or
super administrator user of SUC to log in to the device for maintenance, maintenance commands apply
only to scenarios in which faults cannot be located by using common maintenance methods. Incorrect
use of the maintenance commands may cause exceptions on devices or service interruptions. If you
need to use the maintenance commands, apply for the permission to Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd..
l If you log in to the storage device as user support or root, you can run the su command to switch to
a storage administrator master. The service management permissions have proliferation risks. Strictly
control the password security and application scope of account support and root.
