Connecting Loudspeaker Line
Please refer to the related manual for the loudspeakers before connection. Follow the steps below
to connect the speaker line to the RK-ZONE8:
1. Strip about 10mm (0.4 in.) of the insulated surface of the cable and insert it into the loudspeaker
terminal, then fasten the screw.
2. Insert the terminal with the installed audio cable into the loudspeaker interface of the RK-MCU.
3. Install the protective cover to avoid electric shock.
Sometimes, the loudspeakers of the zones need to be connected to the system in two branches.
The speaker lines may be connected as shown in the figure below.
Note:
Be sure to match the polarity when connecting the loudspeaker cable to the terminal.
Connecting EOL Module
The method for connecting the EOL module is the same as the RK-MCU; please refer to "Connecting
EOL Module" in the "Connecting RK-MCU" section.
Connecting Contact Input
The method for connecting the RK-ZONE8 to the contact input is the same as the RK-MCU; please
refer to "Connecting Contact Input" in the "Connecting RK-MCU" section.
Connecting Dry Contact Output
The method for connecting the RK-ZONE8 to the dry contact output is the same as the RK-MCU;
please refer to "Connecting Dry Contact Output" in the "Connecting RK-MCU" section.
Connecting Audio Device
RK-ZONE8 has 1 audio input interface to connect to an external audio source, which can only be
played via the connected loudspeaker line under special conditions. The RCA interface is used to
connect to an external audio source. The valid value of the input signal should be less than 1V and
it is recommended to use a shielded audio cable with the RCA terminal. Use the wire with the RCA
terminal to connect to the output of an audio device and input of a device circuit.

Connecting the RK-MIC

Connecting with RK-MCU
Please refer to the chapter "Call Station Interface" for specific information on the RK-MIC interface.
Use the twisted pair to connect the call station interface of the RK-MCU to the input interface of the
RK-MIC. There are 2 call station interfaces on the RK-MCU; RK-MIC can connect to either of them.
When there are many RK-MICs that need to be connected, users need to connect the input interface
of the RK-MIC to the output interface of the RK-MIC as shown below.
