Connecting the System

After installing all devices, please connect the devices as per the following instructions.

Connecting Power Supply

All the devices except the RK-MIC have special mains power supply interfaces and backup power
supply interfaces. The Main power cable is attached in the package. For the backup power cable,
users need to make it according the actual length.
Connecting the Main Power Supply
Please use the attached power cable to connect the main power slot to AC power supply.
Connecting the Backup Power Supply
If the system has no backup power supply, please disable the supervision of backup power supply
using the configuration software tool.
The backup power supply of devices should be connected to power supply equipment with a 24 V
DC output. Before connecting, make sure the output current of the PSU meets the power
consumption requirements of the device.
The backup power supply connection is provided in the package. Pay attention to the polarity when
wiring.
Connecting the RK-MIC Power Supply
The remote call station can be powered by the Master Control Unit through the twisted-pair cable. If
the RK-MIC can't be powered due to long distance or exceeding the power consumption limitations
of devices, an AC power adaptor can be connected to the 24 V DC port of the remote call station.
Note:
If the distance between the RK-MCU and RK-MIC is over 400 meters, and there are more than one
RK-MIC, please connect AC power adaptors to remote call stations.

Connecting Zone Expanders

Zone expanders can be connected to the Master Control Unit by using the twisted-pair cable, which
is provided in the package.
The connection steps are shown as below:
1. Connect the OUTPUT port of the system extension interface on the RK-MCU to the INPUT port
of the system extension interface on a zone expander.
2. Connect the OUTPUT port of the system extension interface on the zone expander to the INPUT
port of the system extension interface of the next zone expander.
3. Follow the above steps to connect all the zone expanders.
