Power Amplifier Interface
The power amplifier interfaces are used to connect to the external Master Control Unit with power
amplifiers. It transfers the audio signal and control signal, such as self-testing, power-saving from
controller to power amplifier, and transfers the fault signal, such as power fault or protection from
power amplifier to controller. The RK-ZONE8 has 3 RJ-45 ports for power amplifier interface to be
used to connect to amplifiers which correspond to audio channel 1, audio channel 2 and spare
amplifier. It is recommended to use provided cable to connect.
Please refer to the definition of "Power Amplifier Interface" of RK-MCU.
Audio Output
The device has two additional audio outputs, corresponding to audio channel 1 and audio channel
2, which can be connected to third party systems or external power amplifiers via the RCA terminal.
Amplifier Interface
The amplifier interface is used to input or output 100 V audio signals from the power amplifier:
CH1A can be connected with the 100 V audio signal from an external power amplifier, which
corresponds to audio channel 1 and loudspeaker lines 1 - 4.
CH1B can be connected with the 100 V audio signal from an external power amplifier, which
corresponds to audio channel 1 and loudspeaker lines 5 - 8.
CH2A can be connected with the 100 V audio signal from an external power amplifier, which
corresponds to audio channel 2 and loudspeaker lines 1 - 4.
CH2B can be connected with the 100 V audio signal from an external power amplifier, which
corresponds to audio channel 2 and loudspeaker lines 5 - 8.
SPARE IN can be connected with a backup power amplifier or SPARE OUT interfaces from
the MCU or other zone expanders.
SPARE OUT can be connected with SPARE IN interfaces of other zone expanders.
The terminals are attached in the package, the cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm
recommended.
