Temporary Record

Temporary record can be started by the PTT microphone of the RK-MCU and the microphone of the
RK-MIC. The recorded file will be stored in the RK-MCU and can be broadcast to zones by manual
operation. The RK-MCU can only keep 1 temporary recorded file of up to 30 minutes. When starting
a new temporary recording, the new file will replace the old one. Temporary broadcast can only be
used in normal mode.
Recording
Please follow the steps below to start temporary recording on the RK-MCU:
1. Press the "Record" button and the screen will display the temporary recording.
2. Press the side button of the PTT microphone to start recording. The indicator turns green and
the screen shows the recording time.
3. Release the side button of the PTT microphone to stop recording. The indicator goes out and
the screen returns to the previous screen.
Please follow the steps below to start temporary recording on the RK-MIC:
1. Press the "Record" button to start temporary recording. The indicator turns green and flashes.
2. Press the "Record" button again to stop recording. The indicator goes out.
Playback
Users can playback recorded files via the internal loudspeaker on the RK-MCU screen; please refer
to the "Check Recorded Files" chapter for further information.
It is also possible to listen to recordings on the RK-MIC. The following are the steps to do so:
1. Press the "Playback" button on the front panel. The indicator turns green and flickers. Recording
will be broadcast via the RK-MIC built-in loudspeaker.
2. Press the "Playback" button again to stop listening.
Recording Broadcast
Steps for broadcasting a recording via the RK-MIC:
1. Press the zone button.
2. Press the "Playback" button to broadcast the recording. The indicator turns green.

Enter/Exit Manual Emergency Mode

There are emergency buttons with a plastic cover on the front panel of the RK-MCU and RK-MIC.
When the system receives a fire alarm signal from the fire alarm control panel, the indicator of
emergency buttons turns red and flashes. If users want to start emergency broadcast manually,
press the emergency button, which is enabled in the configuration to enter manual emergency mode,
and the emergency indicator turns red. Press the button again to exit manual emergency mode.
When one or more emergency buttons are pressed to enter emergency mode, the indicators of the
buttons will turn red and other emergency indicators will flash in red. The emergency indicator of the
RK-MCU will turn red when the system is in manual emergency mode.
When more than one emergency buttons are pressed to enter emergency mode, the system will only
exit manual emergency mode when all emergency buttons are deactivated.
