Connecting RK-ZONE8

Connecting Main Power Amplifiers
The relevant amplifier interface of the RK-ZONE8 has a detailed description in the "Interface
Introduction" section. A maximum of 4 power amplifiers can be connected to the RK-ZONE8. Select
the proper connection method according to the expected application.
1. In single channel mode, if there are fewer than 4 zones, an external amplifier needs to be
connected as follows:
Use a twisted-pair cable to connect the PA interface "CH1" of the RK-ZONE8 to the PA
-
interface "IN" of the power amplifier.
Connect the "100V" and "COM" output of the power amplifier to "CH1A IN" of the RK-
-
ZONE8; "COM" output connects to the "CH1A IN-" input.
2. In single channel mode, if there are more than 4 zones and the total power rate is less than
500W, the external power amplifiers need to be connected as follows:
Use a twisted-pair cable to connect the PA interface "CH1" of the RK-ZONE8 to the PA
-
interface "IN" of the power amplifier.
Connect the amplifier output port "100V" and "COM" to RK-MCU input port "CH1A IN"; port
-
"COM" output connects to the "CH1A IN-" input.
Connect the "+" and "-" of "CH1A IN" to the corresponding ports of "CH1B IN".
-
3. In single channel mode, if there are more than 4 zones and the total power rate is more than
500W, the external power amplifier needs to be connected as follows:
Use a twisted-pair cable to connect the PA interface "CH1" of the RK-ZONE8 to the PA
-
interface "IN" of the first power amplifier.
Use a twisted-pair cable to connect the PA interface "OUT" of the first power amplifier to
-
the PA interface "IN" of the second power amplifier.
Connect the output port "100V" and "COM" of the first power amplifier to the RK-ZONE8
-
input port "CH1A IN".
Connect the output port "100V" and "COM" of the second power amplifier to the RK-ZONE8
-
input port "CH1B IN"; "COM" output connects to the "CH1B IN-" input.
