There are 8 dry contact outputs from B1 to B8, each port has NO, NC and COM. The external
modules or a third-party device, such as volume controller can be connected. The maximum voltage
and current for each dry contact output are 250V and 5A.
System Extension
The system extension interface is used to transmit the audio and control signals between system
components, such as the RK-MCU and zone expanders. The input interface can be connected to
the extension output interface of other devices, and output interface can be connected with other
extension input interface of external devices. Please refer to the definition of "System Extension" of
the RK-MCU.
A twisted-pair CAT-5 cable is recommended. A twisted pair (2m) cable is provided in the zone
expander package.
Note:
Do not connect extension inputs or extension outputs of the same device together or to each other.
DC Power Output
The RK-ZONE8 has a 24 V DC power output which can be used for external devices. The output
current should be less than 1 A. A resettable fuse is built into the interface to avoid any damage
caused from short circuits. The interface has a DC power output whether the device is powered by
the main power supply or the backup power supply.

The connection terminal is provided in the package, a cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm to

1.5mm is recommended.
Power Input
The main power interface with a resettable fuse is used to connect to AC power source. A T10
AH/250 V fuse is recommended.
