■Combinations of settings
A consistency check can be performed according to the combination of the compatibility mode
the device information settings.
*1 This mode allows not only exact matches but also values that can be emulated by the target.
(Example: Accepting communications configured using an old minor revision EDS file for a target with a minor revision)
For the values that the target is able to emulate, refer to the manual of the target device.
When the CC-Link IE TSN Plus module is a target, no values can be emulated.
The following table shows the relationship between the combination of consistency check settings and connection
establishment/disconnection.

■If the consistency check fails
If the consistency check fails, please check the following.

Was there a mistake when specifying the target IP

Can the EDS file be used by the target for
communication?
Are improper consistency check settings being used?
Do the parameters of the target match the values in the
EDS file?

12.2 Cyclic Transmission Function
Connection establishment/disconnection according to the consistency check

A connection is established if the item name value is an exact match or emulation is possible.
Description
• Confirm the set value is the same as the IP address of the target for communication.
• Confirm that the IP address setting of the target for communication is correct.
Confirm that the EDS file used has not undergone a version upgrade and it is not an old EDS file?
Refer to the following to review the consistency check settings.

Using the message communications support command, check that the following parameters
match the values
■Identity object (Class ID: 01H, Instance ID: 01H)
• Attribute ID1: Vendor Id
• Attribute ID2: Device Type
• Attribute ID3: Product Code
• Attribute ID4: Major Revision/Minor Revision
• Attribute ID7: Product Name
Although Attribute ID7 is not subject to the consistency check, it is possible to check whether it
matches the name of the target you wish to use.
