Take the new modem assembly and connect the ribbon cable assembly connector to the bottom X5
connector of the modem assembly. Pay special attention to correct engagement of all 16 pins of the
ribbon cable assembly socket strip into the modem assembly X5 header strip. (see Fig. 30)

Carefully place the modem assembly on the bracket so the three mounting holes on the modem
assembly aligns with the mounting holes of the bracket.

Put the three mounting screws of the modem assembly and tightens them.

Connect the antenna cable with the modem assembly.

Carefully press the antenna plug into the antenna socket until it clicks into place. In particular,
make sure that the antenna plug does not lie skew in the bushing and that it is not stretched any
longer by rotary and pull-off forces respectively.
