Magnetic Switch Pull–In Test
1. Disconnect the wire from terminal "M".
2. Connect a 12 volt battery to the magnetic switch ter-
minals "50" and "M". The pinion must protrude.
IMPORTANT: Lead wire must be disconnected from
terminal "M" for this test.
To prevent switch coil from overheating, never ap­
ply battery voltage for longer than 10 seconds.
Magnetic Switch Hold–In Test
1. Disconnect the wire from terminal "M".
2. Connect a 12 volt battery to the magnetic switch ter-
minal "50" and the body of the magnetic switch. Pull out
the pinion fully. The pinion must remain at that position
even when released.
IMPORTANT: To prevent switch coil from overheat­
ing, never apply battery voltage for longer than 10
seconds.

Magnetic Switch Return Test

1. Disconnect the wire from terminal "M".
2. Connect a 12 volt battery to the magnetic switch ter-
minal "M" and the body of the magnetic switch. Pull out
the pinion fully. The pinion must return to its original posi ­
tion when released.
IMPORTANT: To prevent switch coil from overheat­
ing, never apply battery voltage for longer than 10
seconds.
