Magnetic Switch Pull–In Test
1. Disconnect the wire from terminal "M".
2. Connect a 12 volt battery to the magnetic switch ter-
minals "50" and "M". The pinion must protrude.
IMPORTANT: Lead wire must be disconnected from
terminal "M" for this test.
To prevent switch coil from overheating, never ap
ply battery voltage for longer than 10 seconds.
Magnetic Switch Hold–In Test
1. Disconnect the wire from terminal "M".
2. Connect a 12 volt battery to the magnetic switch ter-
minal "50" and the body of the magnetic switch. Pull out
the pinion fully. The pinion must remain at that position
even when released.
IMPORTANT: To prevent switch coil from overheat
ing, never apply battery voltage for longer than 10
seconds.
Magnetic Switch Return Test
1. Disconnect the wire from terminal "M".
2. Connect a 12 volt battery to the magnetic switch ter-
minal "M" and the body of the magnetic switch. Pull out
the pinion fully. The pinion must return to its original posi
tion when released.
IMPORTANT: To prevent switch coil from overheat
ing, never apply battery voltage for longer than 10
seconds.
